The Telecaster is known for a simple to use platform and great tone. The 1952 model Telecaster replacement pickups will take your Tele to the next level with unparalleled clarity and versatility.
The formula for the 1952 model is the result of many years working on Telecasters. Some of the old ones really sounded special and had great mojo, while others, not so much. Identification of what makes a great vintage pickup sound so great is one-thing, to figure out how to reproduce it is a lofty goal that many have found to be quite elusive. Many players consider the 1952 Model to be the best replacement Tele pickups made. More than a few players have gone go so far to say they are as good or better than the original vintage pickups from the 50’s and 60’s.
Virgil Arlo 1952 Telecaster pickup set is not an exact replica of a certain pickup from a certain year as the originals did vary, rather the set is a reproduction of the best sounding pickups from the vintage era. You will find that they are very touch-sensitive, which is a lost art these days. The neck is very clear, with a round bass notes and nice smooth highs and it won’t distort too quickly like many Tele neck pickups. The bridge pickup is very clear and can really cut through the mix with a soft attack and round bass. Best of all, the clarity and articulation will stay together should you choose to distort. They work great with different tone-woods, amps and pedals. These pickups will change the way you look at your Tele and the way you use it to express your musical vision.
Why pay thousands of dollars for a set of the original vintage pickups? The Virgil Arlo 1952 Model Tele replacement set is considered by many to sound as good or even better than the originals from the 1950's.
Ever wonder what a real vintage set of Telecaster pickups sounded like when they were brand new? Get these pickups and find out!
